Paris-Roubaix Cyclo - June 2018
THIS TRIP IS NOW SOLD OUT. PLEASE EMAIL INFO@POLOCINI.COM TO BE ADDED TO THE WAITING LIST.
Paris Roubaix - The Hell of the North. We could build this up with an 'epic' description and moody black and white photographs but if you are looking at this trip then you should already appreciate the legendary status of this ride. If you haven't heard of Paris Roubaix then this ride isn't for you.......
This event is organised by the VC Roubaix cycling club and is only held every two years. The 210km ride is a genuinely epic cycling experience. It finishes with a lap of the famous velodrome and riders even receive a souvenir cobble.
At Polocini we are Roubaix veterans and LOVE the pave! You can join us on our group ride as we take on the cobbles or head off at your own pace. We re-group at the end of each pave sector and our ride leader has onboard camera to film your progress on the pave. A quick taster can be viewed HERE. A few photos from our 2016 ride can be found HERE.
Our group ride is fully supported with a vehicle following behind. There is no need to worry about punctures or ride with stuffed jersey pockets. Our driver will take plenty of photos and video and we also carry everything you need from an extra layer to a bag of emergency Jelly Babies!
We visit the Roubaix pave more times per year than any other tour company and the itinerary of this tour reflects our experience.
Riders need to relax before riding Roubaix so single rooms with double beds are provided on the eve of the ride. We are also staying very close to Roubaix Velodrome so there are no unnecessary transfers at the finish. This weekend has been planned to ensure maximum rider enjoyment.
The first evening is spent in the historic town of Ypres which is then followed by a gentle morning ride with a nice lunch on the Kemmelberg. We even had post ride waffles, pancakes and ice cream!
Included in the cost of the trip is return transport from the UK. We travel via the Eurotunnel and there is no need to bag/box your bike as we have plenty of space in our support vehicles.
All dates are subject to confirmation from race organisers but we have made all necessary arrangements should this event be held on the following weekend.
FRIDAY 8th June 2018: Collection from pre-arranged points in the U.K and then we will travel to Ypres. We will attend the Last Post and there will be a relaxing evening meal.

We will then make the short transfer to Saint Quentin, collect registration packs and prepare for the Pave with an evening meal and early night.
